A short guide we wrote to go with this. It is free, and the link comes in your order confirmation email.
Keeps the lap belt low on your thighs, off your bump.
- 🚗 Sits on the seat between your legs and holds the lap belt down, so it stops riding up onto your belly
- 🔧 Installs in about a minute: a strap around the seat cushion keeps it in place
- 💪 Solid ABS body, polyester webbing and a metal buckle. About 7.9 x 2.4 in (20 x 6 cm). Black
- 🚚 Free shipping. Ships in 1-3 business days and usually arrives 5-11 business days later (7-15 in Canada). 30-day returns.
💬 Good to know: this is a comfort accessory, not a safety device. It has not been crash tested and it does not replace your seat belt. Always wear the three-point belt on every ride. NHTSA advises the lap belt under your bump, low across your hips, and some safety organizations, including Consumer Reports, do not recommend aftermarket belt positioners. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or midwife.
Sound familiar?
A car seat belt is cut for a flat lap. With a bump, most rides remind you of that.
The belt creeps up
You set the lap belt low, and two turns later it is back on top of your bump.
One hand on the belt
You keep tugging the lap belt down at every red light.
Long rides feel longer
Commutes, school runs, road trips: a belt across your belly gets old fast.
The adjuster hooks the lap belt down between your legs, so it rests on your thighs and stays where you put it.

Without and with the pregnancy seat belt adjuster
Same seat belt, lower and more comfortable
Without it, the lap belt tends to slide up and sit across your bump. With it, the lap belt passes under the hook between your legs and rests on your thighs.
The shoulder belt does not change: it stays between your breasts and to the side of your bump.
The adjuster changes where the lap belt sits, for comfort. It is not a safety device and it does not replace your seat belt.
What changes on your next car ride
Small thing, used every day.

Nothing across your bump
The lap belt rests on your thighs instead of on your belly.
No more re-adjusting
Once it is hooked, the belt stays put for the whole ride.
Driver or passenger
Use it in any seat where the strap can go around the seat cushion.
On in about a minute
Strap it to the seat once. After that you only hook and unhook the belt.
Stays in the car
About 8 in long and black, it sits flat on the seat and out of the way.
For the whole pregnancy
Start whenever the belt begins to bother you and keep it until the last ride.

Made for the rides you can't skip
Commutes, school runs, appointments. A seat belt is cut for a flat lap, so with a bump the lap belt keeps climbing. The adjuster straps to the seat and gives the lap belt somewhere to stay: hooked low, on your thighs.
How to install the seat belt adjuster
On the seat in about a minute, no tools

- 1Lay it on the seatPlace the adjuster in the middle of the seat cushion, near the front edge, with the hook facing up.
- 2Strap it to the cushionPass the strap through the gap between the cushion and the backrest, bring it around the cushion, clip the buckle and pull to tighten.
- 3Sit and buckle up as usualFasten the car's seat belt the way you always do. The shoulder belt goes where it always goes.
- 4Hook the lap beltPull the lap belt down and slide it under the hook, so it rests on your thighs.
Leave it strapped to the seat between rides. To take it off, unclip the buckle and lift it out.
Simple on purpose
One solid piece, one strap, one buckle. Nothing to charge, inflate or assemble.
- ✓Hook: holds the lap belt down on your thighs.
- ✓Strap: goes around the seat cushion so the adjuster does not slide.
- ✓Metal buckle: clips and tightens in one pull.
- ✓ABS body, polyester webbing: about 7.9 x 2.4 in (20 x 6 cm).

Questions about this product
Is it a safety device?
No. It is a comfort accessory. It changes where the lap belt sits, and we do not claim it makes the seat belt safer for you or your baby.
Has it been crash tested?
We have no crash test data for it, and no US federal safety standard covers aftermarket seat belt positioners for adults. Some safety organizations, including Consumer Reports, do not recommend them.
Do I still use the car's seat belt?
Yes, on every ride. This does not replace the seat belt. You buckle up as usual and then slide the lap belt under the hook.
How should a seat belt be worn during pregnancy?
NHTSA's guidance is to wear the three-point belt with the lap belt under your bump, low across your hips, and the shoulder belt between your breasts and to the side of your bump. If you are unsure what is right for you, ask your doctor or midwife.
How do I install a pregnancy seat belt adjuster?
Lay it at the front of the seat cushion, pass the strap around the cushion, clip the buckle and pull tight. It takes about a minute and needs no tools.
Can I use it as a driver and as a passenger?
Yes. It works the same in the driver's seat and the passenger seat, as long as the strap can go around the seat cushion.
Will it fit my car?
The strap has to pass around the seat cushion, so it fits seats with a gap between the cushion and the backrest. Some rear bench seats do not have one. If it does not fit your seat, you can return it unused within 30 days of delivery.
When can I start using it?
There is no fixed week. Use it from whenever the lap belt starts to feel uncomfortable across your bump.
Can I leave it installed in the car?
Yes, it can stay strapped to the seat between rides. Unclip the buckle to take it off when someone else uses the seat.
Can I use it after a C-section?
We can't give medical advice. Ask your doctor before using anything that changes how the seat belt sits after surgery.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it with a damp cloth.
